Sports and Exercise Chiropractor – Dr. Nicholas Shannon

Nick is a sports and exercise medicine chiropractor, meaning in addition to his chiropractic training he has extensive training and education in sports and exercise medicine. He is the principal sports chiropractor at the Shannon Clinic – Melbourne Chiropractic and Sports Care Clinic.

Nick holds a chiropractic double degree from RMIT in Melbourne, as well as a postgraduate diploma in sports and exercise medicine from the University of Otago.

Nick is passionate about sports and exercise medicine and is a strong advocate for promoting the use of exercise as medicine. He is also committed to helping educate his patients and peers which he does through writing journal articles in peer reviewed journals and informative articles in the area of sports and exercise medicine in Australian chiropractic magazines. Additionally, Nick reviews journal paper submissions for the Current Sports Medicine Reports journal.

This vast array of experience has helped Nick to develop close working relationships with sports medicine physicians and orthopedic surgeons in Melbourne and abroad which enables Nick to provide his patients with the best care possible, regardless of whether they are an athlete or not.
